MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Membership entitles you to attend programs and events for a reduced fee and to receive SPaN
emails or mailings upon request. For an additional fee, you can be listed as an advocate or other professional in our mailings
and on our webiste. Deadline for initial listing is August 1, for 12 months. Listings received thereafter will be updated
monthly at the same rate. Listings and memberships received after February 1, will be prorated to half the fee.
The purpose of SPaN is to develop and promote a functioning and supportive network of child
advocates who work with families of children and young adults with disabilities. The organization provides continuing education
opportunities and professional information to our members and community at large.
SPaN is an independent non-profit organization. The financial needs are primarily met through membership and training
sessions. The volunteer efforts of the members have provided the leadership, direction, and support that have sustained this
organization for 20 years. Please consider how you may support, contribute, and volunteer to continue the SPaN mission to
promote and protect the rights of children and young adults with disabilities. The diverse professional expertise and talents
of SPaN membership is recognized and often under utilized.
