SPaN’s Special
Education School Fair
Up to 63 Special education schools will be exhibiting
at the Fair. Each school will bring representatives to describe & discuss how their program can, or cannot,
address various student profiles. You'll learn about the program's capacities to meet different levels of student need
in academic, cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, clinical, therapeutic, physical, sensory, medical, adaptive living
and vocational domains. Also learn about:

COMPLIMENTARY
NETWORKING LUNCHEON FOR FULL-DAY PARTICIPANTS! Due to the generosity of Neuropsychology & Education Services
for Children & Adolescents (NESCA) and Kotin, Crabtree and Strong, we are able to offer a complimentary lunch buffet for
attendees who also register for the afternoon program with Ross Greene (see description below).
WRITING GOALS TO DEVELOP COLLABORATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS WITH DR. ROSS GREENE
Following the School Fair and buffet lunch, Dr. Greene, the nationally-recognized author of The Explosive Child and
Lost at School, will address the challenge of writing effective, measurable IEP goals for skilsl such as cognitive
flexibility, adaptability, frustration tolerance, and problem solving In short, he will describe how to integrate the
Collaborative Problem Solving approach to an IEP.

1. Morning Program: School Fair 8am - 12pm ( includes 1 catalog) Non-Member $40; Member
$30 (Price at the door will be $65, checks only)
2. Afternoon Program with Dr. Ross Greene: "Writing
Goals to Develop Collaborative Problem Solving Skills" Non-Member $60; Member $50 Please note: Morning Attendees staying for the afternoon program are invited to a
complimentary buffet lunch provided by Neuropsychology & Education Services for Children & Adolscents (NESCA). (Price at the door if, available, will be $70, without lunch. Checks only.)
Cancellation/Weather Policy: No case refunds will be offered if a program is held. Written cancellation
requests received at least a week prior to Fair may transfer payment to an upcoming program in the 2011-2012 program calendar.
