Dr. Ilda Carreiro King, a Developmental and Educational Psychologist, uses the lens of classroom ecology to inform improvements in reading instruction.  She's known for bringing a learner-centered approach to all levels of the school community:  administrators, teachers, students, and parents.  In this presentation, she will share her knowledge and experience using RtI as a tool to discover research-based interventions that help students without hindering the identification of a learning disability.  She will also offer her thoughts on how we, as advocates, can support the proper use of this tool.
