Functional Behavioral Assessment and Postive Behavior Support Plans: Case Studies.

Dr. Vargas, who has over 17 years of experience working with children who have autism and/or other developmental disorders with behavioral challenges, will provide her insight on Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) as a means to understanding behavior’s purpose and developing positive behavior support plans. Information on topics such as:

What is the purpose of an FBA?
When and how should an FBA be requested?
Who is qualified to conduct an FBA?
What does a good FBA look like?
How can I use the information obtained through an FBA?

will be included, with the intention of helping us advocate more effectively for children with behavioral challenges.
