Our SPaN year got off to a wonderful and exciting start with a well attended workshop by SPaN Board Members Lynn Kreutz and Shelly Greene.           Our programming continues with our All Day Workshop on October 24, 2008 with:

 READING: Current Research, Teaching to the Stages of Reading and Dyslexia, Overview of Reading Programs

Presenter: Dr. Elaine Holden.  PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED  is required for this workshop

All workshops (except the all day, which will be held at PAPA RAZZI ) will be held at the Needham ARC Directions with a 9:30 - 10:00 networking and 10:00 - 12:30 presentation.  Details are available with registration forms on the website.

SILVER SPRING, MD
(August 18, 2008)— Last week President Bush signed into law the  Higher
Education Opportunity Act of 2008. The law is the first reauthorization of the
nation’s primary higher education laws in a decade.  While the bi-partisan
legislation will improve access and affordability of higher education for all
Americans, a major step forward is taken in improving postsecondary
opportunities and supports for students with disabilities. More
